It took me 3 months and 7 days precisely to pick mint as my mobile career for coming years. This seems illegal to me that they keep funds for unused services provided but I am checking with an attorney on that who says there is a potential class action lawsuit investigation concerning this issue.This is my honest review of ‘Mint Mobile’, which is one of the most talked about MVNOs (operators that sell discounted mobile and data plans) in the USA. I completed an online form to get a refund and when I called to check after a month of hearing nothing, they told me I would not get a refund. So, I ported my numbers (mine and my spouses) to the new carrier thinking as with most reputable service providers I would be refunded my unused portion of service. Update - I phoned Mint after they requested me to (see their reply) but they can’t compensate me. Go with a company that is reliable and truthful. They will reply to this review saying they are always here to help but don’t believe them. Customer service was useless every time I phoned. Disgusting customer service and treatment of customers. Only if you’ve just joined can you get any compensation.
I wanted to leave and asked for some compensation or refund but apparently it’s against their policy. They had my money but they were not providing me with a service. I had paid them upfront for my 12 month contract. I contacted customer service but they are useless, “turn your device off and back on again”, “re-set network settings” - is this really all their technical team are trained to do. Rarely did I see 3/4G on my phone and regularly I had service problems. The first year was satisfactory and it was cheap so I stayed.
